Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips is a well known Jamaican – Canadian Islamic scholar who reverted over to Islam in 1972. He finished a BA from the Islamic University of Medina, a M.A. from King Saud University in Riyadh, and a PhD in Islamic Theology from the University of Wales, UK (1994).
