Umar, known to us as ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭtab’, (born c. 586, Makkah, Saudi Arabia – died November 3, 644, Medina), was an extraordinary companion of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He succeeded Abu Bakr RA (632–634) as the subsequent caliph (from 634) under whom Arab armed forces vanquished Mesopotamia and Syria and initiated the victory of Iran and Egypt. 

He was a specialist Muslim adviser known for his devout and just nature, which earned him the sobriquet Al-Farooq (“the person who recognises among right and wrong)”). 

Umar Ibn Al Khattab was a powerful ruler, stern toward guilty parties, and himself austere to the point of brutality, Umar was generally regarded for his equity and authority. His work in conclusively molding the early Islamic people group is generally recognised.
